SpinOff Studio is a non profit art center for adults with disabilities in Gardiner, Maine, sister to Spindleworks in Brunswick. Both are programs of Independence Association, a Maine-grown organization whose mission is to help children and adults with disabilities achieve full and inclusive lives in their chosen communities.

ABOUT

More than 25 SpinOff artists work in a variety of mediums, including painting and drawing, photography, ceramics and woodworking, weaving and other fiber and fabric arts. SpinOff artists write poetry and stories, create and record music, and express themselves through acting and other performing arts. They are well known and respected members of Maine’s artistic community.

Artists attending SpinOff receive supplies, studio space, and guidance from professional artist-mentors as needed. Their work is exhibited at SpinOff and shown locally and regionally. Artists receive 75% of the sale price, with 25% returning to the program for supplies.

SpinOff is located in Gardiner's Main Street downtown district, along with other arts, entertainment, and shopping venues. It is sister to Spindleworks art center in Brunswick.

SpinOff gallery and store are open Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30. The artists are on site Monday-Friday 9:00-3:00. They enjoy visitors and love to give tours and talk about their work.
